Message: I enjoyed visiting your website, especially the archival information about the Congregation and its' early leaders. My GGG grandparents, Abraham Bergman and Fradche "Fannie" Meyer, were united in marriage September 18, 1843. The marriage vows indicate Hazan Feiss, minister of Congregation Adath Isreal in Louisville officiated at the marriage. Witnesses were Joseph Dinkelspihl, Menahem Argel, Emanuel Heidingsfelder and Hersch Seliger. I look forward to visiting your library in the future to learn more about the charter members of the Congregation. We have both Yiddish and English versions of the wedding vows that may be of interest to your archivist.
